Groundwork Bridgeport’s 2nd Seaside Park 5K Run & Walk. This 5K is more than just a race: it’s a way to bring people together, to provide a healthy outdoor activity, and raise critical funds to continue and expand our impact in Bridgeport, CT. Please register online or in person on event day to participate.

The Seaside Park 5K Run & Walk offers three events designed to welcome participants of all ages and abilities. Our 5K (3.1 mile) Route will leave from the monumental Perry Memorial Arch. The course provides a scenic tour along the coast on very flat and accessible roads and sidewalks that you can walk or run.

Our 1-Mile Route is a wonderful alternative for those not wanting to take on the full 5K distance. Families, youngsters, adults, strollers...enjoy a great one mile loop within Seaside Park. Finishers at this untimed distance are not eligible for awards.

Our FREE Kids Fun Run is for 9 years and under ONLY. Parents/guardians can accompany their little tykes if needed.

Event Schedule

• 8:45-9:45 am: check-in, bib pickup*, and day of registration

• 9:30 am: FREE Kids Fun Run for children aged 9 and under (must arrive by 9:15 am)

• 9:55 am: Announcements and Introductory Remarks

• 10:00 am: Start of the 5K walk & run in front of the Perry Memorial Arch

• 10:45 am: Awards distributed

Any proceeds and donations will be awarded to Groundwork Bridgeport.
